When you do Intermittent Fasting, your whole body gets kicked off. It energizes all organs including Hypothalamus.

But there is one problem. Not many know how to do Intermittent Fasting properly.

Intermittent fasting means fasting in between meals. But for your Hypothalamus to get triggered you need to fast for at least 16 hours!

You heard it right.  The minimum fasting time is 16 hours . The more gap in fasting time the better.

How Does One Fast for 16 Hours?

Here is how I do it.

In the evening have a meal filled with fats. The fats can be animal, dairy or vegetable. Fat is what will make you go longer without food.

 Eat before 6 pm and go to sleep by 9pm .

Try to sleep over the next day as late as possible. When you get up, 12 hours will be over. The next 4 hours won’t be hard if you can distract yourself with some other work.

In short, skip breakfast and go to lunch.

Continue the same process for lunch. Have a high fat meal and skip dinner. Go to sleep. The next day you can have your breakfast and skip lunch.

Here is another way of doing Intermittent Fasting. Skip breakfast, eat your lunch at 12 pm, then another meal at 3 pm and the last meal at 6 pm. Therefore, from evening 6 pm to the next day 12 pm you will have a window of 18 hours.

Fats? Isn’t too Much of it Bad?

Actually no. BTW I am no doctor and hence I advice you to do your own research on eating a high fat meal for intermittent fasting.

Some Other Ways to Boost Testosterone Levels Naturally?

Here are some other ways to increase your testosterone level naturally:

High Intensive Interval Training (HIIT):

Working with heavy weights for a short interval is scientifically proved to boost your testosterone levels naturally.

 Lift weights at least 3 to 4 days per week and for at least 30 minutes per session . It is vital to take ample rest between non workout days to see results.

Work with weights where you cannot go beyond 4 or 5 reps (irrespective of which body part you are working on). Do 4 to 5 sets.

Out of all exercises squats are best to induce testosterone production.

Here’s how to do it. Hold reasonable weight over your shoulder (or resting over your shoulder) then do a full squat. You should not be able to do more than 8 or 10 squats. Increase or decrease weight accordingly.

Skip Sugar:

You must have heard the negative impacts of consuming table sugar. But you won’t have heard that consuming table sugar also impacts your testosterone levels.

It is estimated that average american consumes 12 tspn of sugar daily. This usually leads to Type II Diabetes. And people with Type II Diabetes have very low testosterone levels.

 Even people who are pre Diabetic suffer from low testosterone levels. Conclusion skip the sugar. 

 

Eat High Cholesterol Meal:

In the beginning of this post we discussed how testosterone is made. In testosterone production, the last step is where testicles uses the cholesterol present in our body.

 If there are no Cholesterol then testicles won’t be able to produce testosterone .

Some foods that are high in Cholesterol are:

  1. Butter
  2. Ghee
  3. Lard
  4. Coconut Oil
  5. Palm Oil
  6. Eggs
  7. Nuts (Cashews, Almonds etc.)
  8. Full Fat Cheese
  9. Milk
  10. Yoghurt
